[ethOS] 1.2.9 release

こんにちは、ドリ助です。

マイニング専用 OS の ethOS の 1.2.9 がリリースされました。 1.2.8 は欠番のようです。テスト中に不具合が見つかったとかなのかな？もしくは２チームで作業していてたまたま同時にに作業が終わったとか？まぁ何にせよ使い勝手がよくなったりハッシュレートが上がるのは大歓迎ですね。

また、私の残念な英語読解能力で解読してみました。間違っていたら指摘していただけると嬉しいです。

全体を見てみると NVIDIA 関連の不具合修正がいくつかあります。GTX 系を使っている人は今すぐupdate!

ethOS 1.2.9 更新履歴 (2018年1月6日リリース)

大きな変更点

ethOS のサイズを 8G から 5G にしました。
より信頼できる GPU が報告したパラメータを集めるために、カスタムツールを実装しました。
すべてのマイナーとそれに伴うパッケージをアップデートしました。
claymore-xmr を最新の安定版にアップデート。
ethminer で最新の GPU を使うと遅い不具合を修正。
750MB の不必要なパッケージを削除
worker 名を使わない pool に globalname, [worker] を使用しない ethOS config オプションを追加
ethOS config の pool or wallet が変更されたとき、明示的に再起動、再始動しなくても自動的に再始動するように変更

いくつかの ethOS config オプションが適切にコメントになっていないのを修正

dstm-zcash とすべての claymore マイナーが ssl:// pool URL を使える機能を追加
alt-tab キーでブラウザ、ターミナル間のフォーカスを変更できるように
miner が、ethOS config を変更しても変わらないことがあるのを修正
ccminer のハッシュレートが 0 として報告される不具合を修正
ethOS リグが ethOS stats パネルに update 報告を送れない不具合を修正
dstm-zcash 実行中の rigpool1, rigpool2 の順序指定を修正
ethOS stats パネルの表示が正しくないのを修正
update-miner に終了時 update script を入れることでより便利に

まぁたいした修正でもないようなので、以降の訳は気が向いたら。。

Major Changes

Resized ethOS live image from 8 gigabytes to 5 gigabytes, to reduce the imaging time by 35%.
Built a custom tool for gathering GPU-reported parameters more reliably.
Updated all installed miners to their latest versions and added packages necessary to support them.
Updated claymore-xmr to its latest stable version (fix for ethOS 1.2.8).

2017年の収支

私は８月からマイニングをやっているのですが、新年ですので、今年の収支をさらしてみたいと思います。

８月１２日のスタートから去年いっぱいでこんな感じの結果になりました。電源が壊れて稼働してない時間が１週間ほどありましたが、それは無視しています。稼働日数は141日で１日539円の電気代がかかるので、 141 x 539 = 75,999 円の電気代がかかっています。また税金などが引かれるので、浮きは20 万くらいでしょうか。まぁ電気代を経費として計上すれば幾分増えるかもしれません。スタート当時は回収には２年弱かかる予定でしたが、この分だと来年の半ばには回収できそうです。

はじめは ETH を掘っていましたが、diff の上昇にともない ZEC に切り替えました。またその後にフォークがあってから ETH の diff が半減したため、ETH に戻っています。現在は１日に22ドルほど掘れているようです。

調子にのって増設を考えていましたが、残念ながらウチの電気容量ではこれが限界っぽいので、地味にこのまま続けていきたいと思います。電気容量の増加も借家のため難しそうです。

今年も順調に上がっていきますように！

電源復活？

最近、電源が調子悪いことをずっと調査していましたが、ようやく原因がわかりました。まったく電源は関係なく、ウチのアンペアの問題でした。

我が家では冬は基本エアコンでしのいでいるのですが、乾燥機、レンジ、エアコンを同時につけるとブレーカーが飛ぶそうです。嫁に言われて初めて気づきました。最近はちょこちょこ飛んでたらしい。夏はエアコンはたまにで、乾燥機は滅多に使わなかったため気づかなかったのですが、４０アンペアで常に１０アンペアをマイニングに使っているため、かなりギリギリだったようです。最近増設しようかなと思っていたのですが夢でおわりました。

GPU 故障？？電源だ！

こんにちはドリ助です。ここのところ久しぶりに GPU の１枚が調子悪くて、気がつくとリグがフリーズしているという現象が起きています。

不具合の出た GPU を外して、ライザーカードが原因だろう！と決め付けて、とりあえず新しいライザーカード買うために。アマゾンでポチっと。そのまま１枚外した状態で、走らせていると同じ電源のを使っていた GPU まで不調に。。。ありゃ？もしかして電源か？？もうすでにポチった後やないか！

とりあえず１GPU分の電源は余ってたので、繋げて様子をみます。ちょっと前に買い換えようかな？と思っていたところだったので、ちょうどいい？

これで原因が電源なことを確認できたら、今週末は秋葉原いってあまった GPU 分増設だな～。困るな～。わーい！

今回ライザーカードx3 の商品を買ったので、１枚検証用にとっておくとして２枚増設かぁ～。電源も買いかえないとですね。750w の 80plus GOLD の電源がかなり要領あまっているのでちゃんと使いたいのですが、補助電源を指す穴がないのでこちらはこれ以上使えないようです。

ここらへんもちゃんと考えてから買わないとただの安物買いの銭失いになってしまいますね。。後悔。。。

マイニングに使うべき電源

こんにちは、ドリ助です。

マイニングを続けて4ヶ月になります。長い月日がかかりましたが、とうとう気づいてしまいました。電源の重要さに。。。

私のマイニングリグではマザーボードと GPU 1枚を動かす電源に 750w の 80plus SILVER の製品を1つ使っています、GPU 6 枚動かす電源に、650w の 80plus BRONZE の製品を3つ使っています。電源を選んだ時は、「まぁなんとなく電源容量が多くて、80plus のグレードが高い方が安定してそうでいいけど、値段優先だな」くらいで選びました。

これが素人の考え方でした。タイムマシンがあったら4ヶ月前の自分に言ってやりたい！
「電気代の高い日本でマイニングするのに電源の効率を考えないでどうする！」と！

こちらは 80plus の電源の変換効率の対応表です。STANDARD(無印) と TITANIUM の差は最大 14 パーセント！

これがどういうことかというと日々の電気代が最大 14 パーセント変わるということです。また負荷による変換効率にも注目したいですね。こちらは 50 パーセントのときに一番効率よくなっているので、使う電力の 50 パーセントの電気容量のユニットを選ぶべきです。つまり同じ値段でも無駄に電気容量が大きいものだとより電気を食うということになります。

マイニングリグの電気代などは以前こちらで計算しましたが、１日 539 円なので、すべて GOLD に変更して5 %変わるとすると、約 27 円になります。ここで GOLD を選択した理由は上位のモデルのなかで GOLD が一番製品が多く競合が多いため安いからです。

GOLD でよさそうな製品を見てみるとここらへんで約 8000 円なので私が購入した BRONZE(5500 円) との価格差を見ると 2500 円 x3 で 7500 円なので、300 日立たないうちに元が取れてしまう計算になります。

他にもおまけとしてグレードの高い製品には長い保証がついていることもあるので安全性を考えたらさらにおいしいかもしれません。まぁ結論としては多少値段差があっても電源は plus80 GOLD の商品を買おうということで！

追記

さらにこちらの実験では BRONZE と GOLD に 10% 以上の開きが。。。

これなら今から GOLD に買いなおしても十分元が取れてしまうかもしれません。

マイニングって実際儲かるの？

こんにちはドリ助です。

私は8月からマイニングを始めたのですが、マイニングについて少し先が見えてきたかなと思うので、現在の状態を整理を兼ねて書いてみようかと思います。これから始めてみようかと思う人には参考になれば幸いです。

まずは1日当たりの電気料金ですか、GTX 1070x7 を稼働させるのに 1.05 kw で、私の家では 1kw あたり 21.38円で契約しているため、1.05 x 21.38 x 24 で1日あたり 539 円の電気代がかかります。

8月のスタートから11月7日までに稼働日数は87日で電気代は 539円 x 87日で 46893 円になります。

マイニング量は ETH 1.077, ZEC 2.567です。

仮想通貨のままで持っていますが、11月7日の時点で約 103912 円と出ています。
電気代を引いた額は 57019 円です。

すると1日あたりの浮き額は 655円になります。マイニングマシンを作成するのに、約 40万円かかっているので、このままのマイニング量、仮想通貨価格が維持されるなら 2年かからずに元は取れると思います。

よく不動産の投資で言われるような年利回りで言うと60%くらいです。
正直な話投資話としてはかなりおいしいのかなと思いますが、今後マシンが壊れないか？通貨が急激な値下がりをしないか？今までの採掘量を維持できるのか？などトラブルの心配事はつきません。

仮想通貨自体は今後も続いていくと思うので、急激な値下がりは考えていません。採掘量についても徐々に難易度は上がっていくでしょうが、仮想通貨も徐々に一般的になるにつれ、値上がりしていくかな？と思っているので、心配はしていますが、そこまで大きなものではありません。やはり一番大きな心配事はマシンのトラブルかなと考えています。

ビデオカードの寿命は２～５年といわれていますが、マイニングのように 24 時間ハードに動かしている以上は寿命の低下は免れないでしょう。可能ならビデオカードを購入するときに保証期間を延ばせたりできるといいのかもしれません。またあまりカリカリにチューンして、寿命を縮めるよりは、そこそこ程度で安定稼働を目指したほうが良いのかな？と思います。今の季節はいいですが、夏は温度が上がりやすいため特にですね。

いずれにしろ、マイニングの投資としての魅力は利用するビデオカードの耐久性と店舗ごとの保証によってかなり変わってくるのかな？と思っています。2, 3000 円高かろうが、耐久性に定評のある機種を選ぶべきかなと思います。また、店舗の保証を 2, 3000 円でつけられるなら迷わず入ってよいのかな？と思っています。

これらを合わせて3年程度の耐久性を見込めるならかなり魅力的な案件かなと思います。

Genesis Mining vs 自作マイニング環境

こんにちはドリ助です。

先日マイニング環境をレンタルできるジェネシスマイニングという広告をみました。これって実際自分でリグを動かすのと比べてどうなんだろ？？と思ったので、簡単に計算してみたいと思います。

Genesis Mining の価格表は以下のとおりです。２年間の ETH(イーサリウム) のマイニングのハッシュレートを以下の金額で購入できるようです。

1M/s が 30 US$ で 100M/s が 2800 US$ です。1US$ が今大体 114 円なので、1M/s が 3420 円、100M/s が 319,200 円になります。これが２年分の価格です。
これを私の環境と比較してみたいと思います。

私の環境では GTX1070 x7 で 32Mx7/s の 224M/s です。
GTX1070 が今約 45,000円で x7 で 315,000円、また電源やもろもろ込みで 50,000 円程度なので、370,000円程度です。電気代は 1090w/h で 1kw あたり 21.38 円(サニックス電気)なので、１日に 559.3 円になります。すると１年で、204,144.8 円なので、２年で 408.289.6 円になります。

すると。。。。
私の環境を２年間続けると 778,289 円ですね(ネット環境を別途用意する際にはさらに増えるかもしれません)。
ジェネシスマイニングでは 100M/s 319,200 円なので、224M/s を用意するには 715,008 円になります。

こんなんどうせボッタクリの値段だろっ！と思ってはじめた計算だけに結構いい値段でビックリです。。

騒音や、熱対策、場所の問題、またマシンのケアはしたくないけどマイニングはしてみたいという方にはかなりいい選択肢なのかもしれません。
逆に自前環境のメリットはイーサリウム以外にも気軽に変更できたり、マイニング環境を売り払ったりできるところでしょうか？また２年以降もマイニングを継続するなら、環境がそのまま残るため、継続して収益を増やすことが可能かもしれません。

どちらもメリット、デメリットがありますがパソコンをいじるのが好きな方なら自前環境がいいのかなという印象です。

[ethOS] 1.2.3 から 1.2.5 に OS update

こんにちはドリ助です。

ethOS 1.2.4, 1.2.5 の更新履歴を読んでみると、いろいろ細かい不具合が直っていそうなので、もしかしたら、もう少しいい感じにハッシュレートあがるかも？
ということで、ethOS update してみました。

ethOS の knowledge base の update 方法を読んでみると、とりあえず再起動しろとのこと。

というわけで再起動です。

# r

その後に以下のコマンドを打てとのことなので、打ってみます。

# sudo ethos-update && sleep 5 && r

数分待つと再起動が走り、無事 OS update ができます。

あれ？？まったくトラブルがないな。。。

実はあんまり文章読まずに、再起動しないで OS update のコマンドを打ったのですが、そのときには「再起動してから、OS update のコマンドを打ってください」とエラーメッセージがでました。いやぁ～、ありがたいですね。

正直 Linux は初心者にはハードル高いイメージあると思いますが、この ethOS はホントに簡単です。OS は 39 ドルなので、少しでもマイニングマシンの初期投資を抑えたい方は、こちらの OS を使うことをお勧めします。

[ethOS] 1.2.5 release

こんにちはドリ助です。

更新をサボっている間にマイニング専用 OS の ethOS の 1.2.5 もリリースされています。前回の ethOS 1.2.4 から２週間しか経ってないです。早い。もしかして 1.2.4 に大きめの不具合があったり？？と邪推しながら確認してみます。

また例によって私の残念な英語読解能力で解読してみました。間違っていたら指摘していただけると嬉しいです。

ethOS 1.2.5 変更履歴 (2017年９月15日リリース)

大きな変更点

ethOS チームリーダが kotarius から sling00 に変わりました。

NVIDIA オーバークロックについての不具合修正、ユーザが指定した値が正確に適用されるようになりました。(お使いのオーバークロック値をチェックしてください。)

[ethOS] 1.2.4 release

だいぶ日があいてしまいました。マイニング専用 OS の ethOS の 1.2.4 がリリースされていましたので、リリースノートを見てみようかと思います。一応私の残念な英語読解能力で解読してみました。間違っていたら指摘していただけると嬉しいです。

[ethOS] ZCash で nanopool, flypool での払い出しの量の変更方法

こんにちはドリ助です。
私は普段 nanopool を使って ZCash をマイニングしているのですが、他の pool もためしてみたいなと思ったときがあり、flypool を試してみたことがありました。

その際にまぁかなりセコい話なのですが、急にストップすると少しだけ残高が pool 側に残ってしまってもったいないなと思い、pool の払い出しの量の変更方法を調べました。以下やり方です。

pool の自分のウォレットのページ Settings という箇所があるので、そこから mail address と IP アドレス(flypool) を入れる必要があります。

通常の Windows でつなげている方ならもしかしたら、mail アドレスは自分で設定して使っているかと思うので、何も気にすることはないだろうと思います。

しかし、ethOS ではmail アドレスを設定する箇所はありません。
さらに、proxy ソフトを使って高速化しているだろうためソフトが直接つないでるわけでもないため、さらにややこしい状況です。

そこで nanopool の場合は、local.conf の wallet を以下のように変更します。

# nanopool
proxywallet <あなたの wallet>.<worker 名>.<mail@hoge.com>

<mail@hoge.com> にはあなたの自分のメアドを入れて下さい。<worker 名> は ethOS の左上にある 6 文字の英数字です。

nanopool でメールアドレスに <mail@hoge.com> を入れて設定してみると反応してくれません。どうやらこれだけでは足りないようで。実行中の設定ファイル↓を見てみると

/var/run/ethos/ewbf-zcash.conf

こんな感じになってないでしょうか？？

メアドの後ろに変な文字がある。。。。何でや。。
気をとしなおして nanopool のメアドとして <mail@hoge.com>.<worker 名> と入れることで無事変更することができました。

flypool ではメアドより public IP が正確なことが必要なようです。メアドはそのまま自分のメアドを入れられるかと思います。
public IP はここから調べましょう。ここをクリックすると今使ってるネットワークの public IP がわかります。

どうですか？いけましたでしょうか？

最後に１粒残さず pool からウォレットに回収するための手順です。

最低払い出し額よりかなり多めに払い出し額を設定する
最低払い出し額より多くなってからマイニングをストップさせる
１日待つ
払い出し額を最低払い出し額に変更する
しばし待つとすべて pool から払い出されているはず。

３の一日待つが地味に重要です。pool では何時間かの平均でその worker への支払いを計算しているようなので、止めてからも少しの間支払いが続きます。それが完全に終わるのを待つために１日待つというわけです。これで余さず pool からコインを回収できます。

ビデオカードの配置について

こんにちはドリ助です。
暑い日が続いていますが、皆さまいかがお過ごしでしょうか？

ウチではリグが元気に熱を発しており、リグの置いてある部屋は蒸し風呂状態です。ウチでは排熱にお金をかけてないので、リグのためにエアコンなどはつけていません。サーキュレーターのみで排熱をしています。

ところで、たまに他のリグの写真をみるのですが、なぜかビデオカードを一直線にキレイに並べていることが多いように思います。こんな感じで。

１列 x６枚

これだと隣のビデオカードの熱や熱風が隣のビデオカードに伝わって排熱の邪魔になってしまうのではないんかな？と思います。

私のように小規模じゃないからスペースが足りないとかエアコンつけるから関係ないわ〜など理由があるのかもしれません。

またちゃんとラックがあってファンをつける場合、近くにあった方が効率よく排熱できるのかもしれません。

ただ、そうでない場合はビデオカードは離して置いてある方が温度が上がらないように思います。

ウチのリグは以前は1列に並べていたのですが、今では縦に2列にしてビデオカード同士の、間隔を広げています。

2 列 x 3 枚

これだと部屋は蒸し風呂状態ですが、なんとか70℃は行かないで安定しています。夏はこれで乗り切ろうかと思っています。秋が来れば逆に暖房機器として大助かり！早く秋が来て欲しいですね。

以前の1列のときにビデオカード同士の間に手を入れたときの熱風の暑いこと暑いこと。この熱で風呂でもわかせんかなと思ってしまいます。

GTX 1070 x7 @ethOS で EWBF で ZCash マイニング

こんにちは、ドリ助です。

イーサリウムの Difficulty が少しづつ上がってきて、少し効率が落ちてきたように思います。(マイニング暦１週間程度の人間がなにいってんのか。。)

週単位の Difficulty のグラフをみるとそこまででもありませんが、月単位のグラフを見てみると右肩上がりなのがわかります。

私は新参も新参なので、この Difficulty を上げている要因の一人です。スイマセン。。。
今後勝手にイーサリウムの Difficulty が下がることはないとは思います。イーサリウムの価格が Difficulty 以上に右肩上がりなら問題ないのですが、リグを立ち上げたばっかりでいろいろやってみたいお年頃。ZCash を狙ってみることにします。ZCash の Difficulty を見てみると。。。。

nanopool の ZCash の１ヶ月の Difficulty

あんまり変わってないので安定して掘れそうな気がします。

さて、私の環境は Geforce なのですが、GeForce で ZCash を掘るには EWBF が効率が良いようです。他ソフトより 1 - 2% 違うらしい？

私の OS の ethOS には当然のように EWBF が入っています。さすが ethOS。マイニングに特化してるだけあります。あとはちょちょいと local.conf をいじってやれば OK です。

以下が私の Zcash 用の設定です。ethOS の local.conf を以下に書き換えてやれば OK です。

この config は玄人志向の GTX 1070 用にチューニングしたものなので、他のメーカやのものなら、もっといい値で安定動作するかもしれません。試してみたところ globalcore はかなり影響します。globalmem はそんなに影響しません。他の型番のものだともっといい値がありそうです。

実際に動かし始めて少したってからここにアクセスするといつでも実行中の動きを見れます。

さて、設定してから再起動して動かしてみると。。。

Zcash 6GPU

6GPU しか動いてない。。。

なんでやねん。。。。ワイは 7GPU やっちゅーねん。

いろいろと調べてみると、ここでデフォルトは 6GPU だぜと言っておられる。
miner.cfg の cuda_device に 6 を intensity に 64 を追加すれば解決さ！とのこと。

おいおい、、ethOS で config ってどこよ？ととりあえず下のコマンドを打ってどういう処理が動いているのか確認してみる。

/home/ethos # ps aux | grep ewbf

すると

/opt/miners/ewbf-zcash/ewbf-zcash --config /var/run/ethos/ewbf-zcash.conf

ほほぅなんとなくそれっぽいファイルを発見。こいつをいじればいいようだ。

/var/run/ethos/ewbf-zcash.conf

ここの internsity に 64 を追加して cuda_devices に 6 を追加して再起動してみるも変わらない。なんでだ？？どうやら、この conf は毎回起動後に作られる模様。。。。

その後似た内容のファイルを探してみるとようやく大本になる conf 発見

/opt/ethos/etc/ewbf-zcash.conf

ここの cuda_devices と intensity の項目をそれぞれ

cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 4 5 6

intensity    64 64 64 64 64 64 64

にして再起動すると、、、、

Zcash 7GPU

と無事 7GPU で動かすことができました。キャッホー！
3kHash か。うむ、なかなかいいではないか。(この値がいいかはあんまりわかってません。笑)

9 GPU とかお持ちの方は cuda_devices と intensity の部分をそれぞれ追加して

とかにすると動くかと思います。

私の環境は 7GPU なので、それぞれ１つづつ追加するだけですみました。

ちなみに intensity は電力です。
1 にすると私の環境ではリグ全体で 1.2kw から 950w 程度まで落ちました。温度もやはり電力に比例するので、まぁ夏場は少し抑え目のほうがいいのかもしれません。
ただ、Hash も 300Hash x7 くらいに落ちたので、Hash が落ちずに電力が上がらない値を探してみると 32 程度だったので、intensity は 32 にしています。
これだと 1.05kW 　で 430Hash x7 くらいです。64 だともう少しいったのですが、1.20kW くらい電気がいったので、少し落としました。
また、local.conf の globalcore ももう少しあげれば Hash は改善されるのですが、ちょいちょい落ちてしまったので、やめました。私の GTX 1070 は玄人志向のものなのですが、もっとお高い GTX 1070 ならもっとオーバークロック耐性があり上を狙えるかもしれません。
